Documentary Development & Production

Real stories. Formats that work.

Every documentary begins with a man or a woman who agrees to be truly seen. Our quest: to reveal experience, heritage and transmission — with the intact force of the human adventure.

From idea to cut, we craft documentaries that convince, move and stay — the ones you watch once and never quite forget.

Our approach

A documentary is born of a true story, never a format.

A documentary is never just a film. It is a memory we refuse to let fade, a craft we choose to pass on rather than forget, a voice we decide to hear out in full.

We look for journeys that demand to be told: a person who embodies a craft, a historic turning point, a technique passed down through generations. Authenticity comes first. It is always the subject that shapes the film, never the other way around.

Before a camera is ever switched on, there is the discipline of the observer. Watching without judging. Staying long enough to let the truth surface. Returning, again and again, until a gesture or a silence says more than any lengthy statement. We approach a craftsperson, a character, a community, a place, a moment in history or the work of a lifetime with the same documentary ethic: curiosity, respect, and not the shadow of a preconceived angle.

This editorial clarity is what gives a story a reach that is both universal and enduring. Knowing what deserves to be brought to light is the first act of our direction. Once that commitment is made, the same narrative rigour applies, whether the film runs three minutes or fifty-two. One story, one standard: no compromise on narrative, whatever showcase finally holds it.

Some stories deserve to be told once, but told properly. Those are the ones we choose to film.

What we document

Subjects that deserve to be told.

People

Portraits & life journeys

Encounters with people who, in their own way, changed something: a conviction held for twenty years, a bet won against the odds, a life that became an example for others.

Craftsmanship

Trades & transmission

Precise gestures, repeated across generations, that the hand knows before the words can explain them. Filming a craft means making visible what, without a camera, would stay unspoken.

History

Heritage & memory

Events that shaped a territory or a community, of which, with time, only archives and fading voices remain. We film before it's too late to gather them.

They trusted us

A few projects that speak for themselves.

Every documentary we produce carries the voice of someone who agreed to be truly told. Here is one example.

From idea to screen

From subject to film, every decision is intentional.

01

Identification & Writing

Finding the right subject, the right character, the right angle — one that hasn't been told this way yet. Statement of intent, synopsis, first scouting trips: this phase answers the only question that truly matters — why this story, why now.

02

Structure & Finance

Building the production plan, identifying the right partners, securing funding — CNC grants, PACA regional support, co-producer approaches. A story worth telling deserves the means to tell it properly.

03

Shoot

4K production, directing interviews and cinematography — and above all, the patience to let things come. A good documentarian never forces a scene: they simply stay ready for the moment it happens on its own.

04

Post-production & Delivery

Editorial cut, cinema grading, sound design — the moment when hours of footage become a story that holds together. Delivery adapted to each distribution channel: AS-11, ProRes, DCP, web formats.

Our formats

Documentary formats adapted to every distribution goal.

Short format · 10–12 minutes

Dense and impactful. Short enough to hold an attention that scatters fast, long enough to let a story breathe and leave a mark. The format for those who only get one chance to convince.

Feature length · 26–52 minutes

True immersion. The time it takes to truly meet someone, understand a gesture, let the viewer grow attached before sending them off changed. The most demanding format — and the most generous.

Documentary series · 8–10 × 10–26 min

One theme, multiple voices, multiple episodes. A way to explore a subject in all its complexity rather than compress it into a single film — and give your audience a reason to come back, episode after episode.

Brand documentary

A company, a team or a craft becomes the subject in its own right — not an advertising pretext. Genuine documentary storytelling, which strengthens an image because it tells a truth, not because it dresses one up.

Why invest in documentary

The format that engages because it tells the truth.

Documentary is not filler content, or an editorial veneer. In a landscape saturated with advertising messages, it is one of the last formats where an audience still lowers its guard — because it senses no one is trying to convince it, only to show it something true. Brands that tell their story through documentary aren't buying visibility : they're earning credibility, and a loyalty that lasts well past the broadcast.

Channels and platforms that invest in quality documentary build, film after film, a relationship of trust with their audience — the rarest, and most valuable, resource any media can have.

It is also, very concretely, the most durably profitable format : a single documentary lives on TV broadcast, streaming, internal communications, events, cutdowns for social media. One shoot, one script, and a story that keeps working for you long after the final cut.

Let's talk about your project.

Tell us about the subject, the characters, what makes you want to tell this story. We'll tell you honestly whether the narrative potential is there, and how to bring it to the screen.
