Alpival

The Challenge

ALPIVAL brings together producers and craftspeople from the Roya, Tinée and Vésubie valleys — mountain valleys still marked by Storm Alex, who chose to exist differently: together, through short supply chains, keeping a terroir alive rather than watching it fade. The brief wasn't to sell products. It was to give a face and a voice to that choice — to show why a soap maker, a brewer, a beekeeper or a mountain butcher decides, today, to stay and to share what they do.

Our Approach

Writing, executive production, direction, filming, post-production: we wrote, shot and delivered this film in under four weeks. A small crew met these craftspeople and farmers in their workshops, their farms, their orchards — from Savonnerie de la Tinée to Brasserie La Baieta. No staging: hands at work, gestures repeated for years, faces that speak of their valley with the same simplicity they speak of their trade.

The film doesn't try to sell the terroir. It tries to show what it costs, and what it gives back, to choose to live from it. Each producer is filmed as exactly what they are: not an argument, a person who made a choice.
